JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - As the weather warms and various plants begin to flower, the Missouri Department of Conservation is hosting a webinar for residents in search of mushrooms this spring.
The MDC's news services coordinator Joe Jerek told KXCV/KRNW that the wild webcast will teach participants how to find and prepare edible mushrooms like morels, and importantly, how to avoid mushrooms that aren't for eating.
Jerek says a mushroom expert will lead the April 21 webinar. Those interested can register in advance for free or find more information on the MDC's website.KXCV-KRNW
